Google Results Vs Yahoo Results

According to a Nielsen//Netratings study, Google holds the top spot for search engine destinations. However, if you take a closer look at N//N’s findings, you see that Yahoo and MSN share the second and third positions, respectively. Because MSN search is still using Overture to serve their search results more people are vicariously using the Yahoo method of search than they do Google.

The Second Look at MSN’s Search technology is available for public beta testing. I’ve given it a spin myself and must say that I’m impressed. Although they have no ads on the SERP’s of the prev?ew site, I’m sure they will load it up with the 15 or more Overture “sponsored sites” which clutter the results pages on the current search results by the time the new public beta reaches its official launch.

If you think about it, this makes a lot of sense. People link to good sites, not bad ones.
